Hello all, and Happy Spring! Today is the day the Sun Serpent returns to Chichen Itza, the Great Sphinx gazes into the sunrise, and the sun crowns Angkor Wat.
And, after a particularly cathartic break, today is the day I return to my studio.
I dust off my sturdy worktable and pick up the proverbial brush. I make a handful of quick little things that made me feel like an artist again. I play with materials. I dab and dabble and stand back to look.
I won’t pretend to create a masterpiece, or even anything I’d truly call art.
But I show up, and that’s what matters.
Today the sun pierced the boulders of Stonehenge.
And the sun shined in my studio, too.
